This little nasty has had a bumper couple of years and if you have seen in the Waikato Times has been responsible for decimating the pasture on farms throughout and after the droughts in the last two years. It is the grub that does the damage chewing through the roots of the plant just below ground level. It is particularly damaging to lawns and left untreated can kill patches throughout your lawn. The warmer seasons mean that the annual life cycle is not being disrupted and the grub is active all year round. We recommend at least 2 insecticide treatments of your lawn area per year to ensure you do not become the victim of this pest. Birds regularly feeding on your lawn can indicate the establishment of this pest.
